  7. Bulk Transport Operations Assistant (BTOA) is a complete operations management
  8. system for bulk and specialty carriers.  The system had been developed to
  9. maximize a bulk carrier's asset utilization while insuring safe, on time
  10. customer service.  Orders are tracked from receipt to customer payment, with
  11. assets tracked at all times through check calls and order completion
  12. confirmations, allowing customer requirements to be met with a minimum of
  13. layovers, downtime, and cleaning costs.  Asset selection and utilization is
  14. enhanced by having complete knowledge of product requirements, availability,
  15. qualifications and special equipment.  Schedules are maintained at whatever
  16. level of accuracy the users desire - by trip leg, order legs, or total order.
  17. BTOA calculates ETAs, asset availability and does load matching while warning
  18. about late loads, load conflicts, excessive downtime or layovers, and other
  19. schedule conflicts.  Safety is enhanced as products can be matched to the
  20. proper equipment as well as shippers to origins and products.  consignees to
  21. destinations and products.  All order and trip information is maintained in a
  22. complete history so that load, trip, revenue, cost, and utilization reports
  23. can be created by asset, product, origin, destination, customer, shipper, etc.
  24. All mileage and times can be loaded and verified through interfaces with PC
  25. Miler and other routing and distance packages.
